If you’ve ever eaten a truly ripe summer peach, then you know what all the fuss is about.  Soft tender fruit that’s perfectly sweet with so much juiciness that it’s dripping down your chin, all wrapped in the delicious taste and smell of peach.  It’s a part of summer looked forward to by millions, so much so that when peach season arrives, it seems outrageous not to use them in as many peach recipes as you can!

The best peach recipes for summer.

Peaches become ripe and ready to eat right in the height of summer, during the months of June-August.  They pair beautifully with both sweet and savory foods.

Add sliced peaches to Greek yogurt with cinnamon, blend them into smoothies or summer drinks, toss them into salads with cucumber and basil, grill them and serve with a spoonful of yogurt, or chop them into salsa with jalapeño, lime, and cilantro.

Peaches can make everyday meals feel bright, summery, and special, which is why I put all these easy recipes together in one place!

Why Eat More Peaches

Peaches are one of the easiest fruits to fall in love with because they don’t need much fuss. A ripe peach can be dessert all by itself. It’s sweet, juicy, satisfying, and naturally refreshing. When you choose peaches instead of more processed sweets, you’re still getting that dessert-like flavor, but with fiber, antioxidants, and nutrients your body can really use. Peaches are a great source of the following nutrients:

  • Potassioum
  • Vitamin A
  • Beta carotene
  • Vitamin E
  • Vitamin C
  • Vitamin K
  • Folate
  • and several of the B vitamins!
