Easy Cherry Crumble 🍒

This deliciously easy cherry crumble is packed with the sweet and tart flavor of fresh cherries, which are bursting with antioxidants, fiber, and vitamins.

Ingredients 

  • 1 lb fresh sour cherries, pitted
  • 1 lb fresh sweet cherries, pitted (or use 2 lbs of your favorite cherries)
  • 2 Tbsps Gluten Free flour, Arrowroot powder, or cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup or raw honey
  • 2 tsps pure vanilla extract

Crumble topping:

  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup almond flour, or Gluten Free flour
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup or raw honey
  • 3 Tbsps melted coconut oil or ghee, more for greasing the dish
  • 2 tsps ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

Optional:

  • Dollop of yogurt or ice cream for serving

Instructions 

  • Lightly grease a medium baking dish with coconut oil or ghee.
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees f.
  • Pit your cherries and place them into your prepared baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the cherries with the 2 Tbsps. gluten free flour/Arrowroot/cornstarch and drizzle with maple syrup and vanilla. Stir to combine.
  • To make your crumble, place all the crumble ingredients in a large bowl. Stir thoroughly to combine.
  • Sprinkle the crumble over the cherries.
  • Bake for 22-25 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
  • Enjoy while hot with a dollop of yogurt or ice cream!
