Homemade Low-Sugar Cranberry Sauce for the Perfect Holiday Dinner!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh organic cranberries
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Garnish:

  • Zest of a fresh orange

Instructions

  • Combine all sauce ingredients a small saucepan.
  • Turn heat to high until it just begins to boil, stir, then reduce to LOW, cover with lid and cook for an additional 15 minutes - until sauce thickens.
  • Remove from heat and let cool. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • Garnish with the orange zest immediately before serving.
