Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 Tbsps olive oil or avocado oil
  • 2 tsps smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp ground mustard seed
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • sea salt and ground pepper, to taste, about 1/4 teaspoon each
  • 1 fresh lime or lemon, juiced
  • 1 Tbsp freshly chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  • Rinse your beans well to clean then allow to air dry or pat dry.
  • Heat a large heavy skillet over medium-high heat.
  • In a large bowl, add your beans and toss with the oil. Next, sprinkle with all of your seasonings and continue to toss well.
  • Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until nicely browned in spots (cook in batches if necessary). I like mine to be a little crisp.
  • Once your beans are finished cooking, stir in the fresh lime or lemon juice and chopped parsley.
  • Enjoy!
