We’re excited to share our latest interview with Rebecca, who took the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge and lost 14.2 pounds and 11 inches in her first 30 days!
Hi Rebecca, thanks for sharing your story with us. Tell us a bit about yourself!Â
My name is Rebecca and I am a 40-year-old married stay at home mom to 14-year-old twins. My daughter has medical and physical challenges so a lot of my days are filled with juggling her needs. Our favorite thing to do as a family is to vacation in Disney World. Being a healthier family will definitely make those big parks an easier day.Â
What were you struggling with before you discovered Clean Eating?
My biggest challenge before I found the Clean Eating Challenge was knowing what foods to eat and which foods to avoid. I have lost and gained large amounts of weight over the last 15 years but I have never learned the methods to make it a life-long commitment. I have tried meal replacement shakes, cutting carbs and counting calories but those weren’t lifestyle changes I could maintain.
How has CleanFoodCrush and the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge helped you to transform?
CleanFoodCrush helped me learn a new way of life. It wasn’t a diet that felt unsustainable. Instead, I learned how to re-train my taste buds to crave healthy foods, and design meals that were flavorful, satisfying AND Clean Eating friendly. Now I have the tools to eat correctly and continue on my progress of dropping weight and feeling better without having to live off of shakes or starve myself.
What kind of results have you experienced physically and otherwise from doing the challenge?
I have dropped 14.2 pounds and 11 inches within the first 30 days. All while feeling much less bloated and miserable! I’ve learned how to prep my meals and have easy to grab healthy meals instead of a drive-thru meal. I also have fewer headaches from sugar highs and crashes.
What was the experience like for you, for your family?
I hadn’t really cooked meals from scratch before taking the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge. I cooked from boxes or frozen stuff often. I first looked at the recipes on the CleanFoodCrush blog and was overwhelmed by all the ingredients, but now I have most of those things as staples in our house. And it’s not like the ingredients are crazy either, it’s just that I hadn’t really cooked fresh food before! Now my family has different foods to try with lots of different flavors to experiment with. I know this is a maintainable lifestyle change that will help me reach my goals and sustain the results for a lifetime.
What words of wisdom do you have for newcomers who are interested in taking the 30 Day Challenge?
If you are considering the challenge I think you should jump in and make the commitment. It is broken down into manageable steps that make it easier to begin the program. The private support group that goes along with the challenge is the most helpful aspect.
If you are confused about anything or need more clarification, Rachel and her team are very quick to answer. The support from people who are also experiencing the first time overwhelming feelings is so helpful. The advice from the long-time members is priceless.
I can’t wait to see my results when I reach my long term goal weight! I am beyond grateful for the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge and Rachel’s team. This has been the best decision I’ve ever made for my health and well-being.Â
