From Cravings to Clean Eating: Selena’s Story

Today we’re catching up with Selena, a VIP Crusher who’s completed the 30-Day Clean Eating Challenge as well as our Little Black Dress Project.

Her story is simply amazing.

Meet Selena,

Hi my name is Selena, and I am 59 years old. I live in Georgia, where I work as an Assistant Superintendent for a school system. I’m also a wife, mother of three adult children, and grandmother of one.

For fun, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, cooking healthy meals, staying active, and cheering on the University of Georgia Bulldogs.

I’ve been following the CleanFoodCrush blog for several years and trying the recipes, but late last year, I started my first 30-day challenge. CleanFoodCrush caught my attention when I was searching the internet for healthy recipes. 

At that time, I was looking for a way to improve my health and eating habits, and the 30-day challenge seemed like a great way to get started. 

🎉Since starting the CleanFoodCrush challenges, I’ve lost a total of 11 pounds. 🎉

🤩Most recently, during the Little Black Dress challenge, I lost 6 pounds and several inches overall.🤩

In addition to the physical benefits, the mental and emotional boosts have been significant.

I’ve found that sticking to a clean eating regimen has positively impacted my mood and stress levels.

As someone who juggles a demanding job and a busy family life, these improvements have been invaluable. It’s easier to face the challenges of the day when you feel energized and balanced.

Before I found CleanFoodCrush, my greatest obstacles to eating healthy were definitely

😭sugar cravings and

😭a busy schedule that made it hard to find time to plan ahead to eat healthy. 

😭I didn’t always make the right choices, often opting for convenience over food that actually fueled my body.

🤩However, CleanFoodCrush and the 30-Day Clean Eating Challenge have helped me transform.🤩

As a foodie at heart, this program has shown me that you can enjoy great food and also eat clean simultaneously. I am now convinced that clean food tastes so much better than food that is processed and contains tons of additives. 

The CleanFoodCrush community has also played a vital role in my journey. Connecting with others who share similar goals and challenges has been motivating and inspiring. The sense of camaraderie and the exchange of tips and encouragement have made the process enjoyable and sustainable.

Completed the Murph Challenge

I now have more energy, my mood has improved, and I feel much healthier overall. Plus, I’m proud of the way I look in my clothes!

Two of my favorite recipes from the blog are the Air Fryer Fajitas and the Balsamic Dressing recipe.

The recipes are delicious and easy to prepare, which has made sticking to healthy eating much easier. They’ve become staples in my meal planning.

I want to ensure I stay fit and active well into my later years.

The best part of the journey with the Little Black Dress has been seeing the tangible results and feeling more confident in my body. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that my efforts are paying off and that I’m setting a good example for my family.

Looking back at my highlights from the two programs, I noticed that with the 30-day challenge, I had more energy and slept better.

With the Little Black Dress, I’ve noticed that my body doesn’t feel bloated. Inflammation is gone, and I feel great! 

Enjoying The Sunshine

The transformations I’ve experienced have been remarkable. I’ve learned to appreciate the natural flavors of whole foods and have found joy in preparing meals that are both nutritious and delicious. 

My family’s health has also benefited from these changes, as we’ve all embraced a cleaner, more mindful approach to eating.

As I continue my journey, my goals are to maintain the progress I’ve made and to keep exploring new, healthy recipes and habits. I want to remain a role model for my family and friends, showing that it’s possible to lead a vibrant, active life at any age.

The support from CleanFoodCrush has been instrumental in my success, and I look forward to continuing this path towards optimal health and well-being.
