Teriyaki Green Beans
These Teriyaki Green Beans are VERY TASTY and excellent for a quick weeknight dinner side dish, or an addition to your weekly food prep meals, but also impressive enough to make for your holiday guests this upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas season.
I served these alongside garlic chicken tenders and brown rice the other night for my family and everyone really enjoyed these beans!

Teriyaki Green Beans
Ingredients
- 1 lb. fresh green beans, ends trimmed
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- 2 Tbsps water
- 1-2 Tbsps toasted sesame seeds, for serving
Homemade Teriyaki Sauce:
- 3-4 fresh garlic cloves, minced or pressed
- 2 Tbsps fresh ginger, finely grated
- 1 Tbsp raw honey, or pure maple syrup
- 1/3 cup coconut aminos, Bragg’s liquid aminos, or low sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 cup broth, vegetable, or beef
- 1/2 Tbsp gluten-free flour
Instructions
- In a small glass bowl whisk all Teriyaki sauce ingredients together really well; set aside.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, then add oil. Add in the beans and 2 Tablespoons of water. Stir.
- Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes, then stir again and continue to cook until they are done to your liking (I prefer them on the crunchy side “tender crisp” and still very green).
- Drizzle your homemade teriyaki sauce over the beans and cook stirring until sauce thickens and beans are nicely coated for just a minute or two.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving and enjoy immediately!
