Meet Susan, Who Lost Over 17 Pounds During the 30-Day Clean Eating Challenge!
Hi! I’m Susan. I’m 62 years old and retired, living in Texas now. After I retired, I pretty much stopped taking care of myself, and previous attempts to get “back in the groove” were unsuccessful — I figured it was some function of age, hormones, medication, etc. and I had just about given up ever being thin and full of energy again. But I love to travel, camp and be outdoors — I’m active all the time — and I got tired of being overweight and sluggish! Plus, my doctor told me I was pre-diabetic — I just needed a way to make new eating habits easy and enjoyable.
Although I’d been watching Rachel and CleanFoodCrush on Facebook for a while, I finally signed up for my First 30-Day Challenge at the beginning of November 2021. And wow! I am so glad I did!
I seriously thought the “before and after” photos I was seeing online couldn’t be 30-day changes — surely they were achieved over many months! But now I look at my own and see what can be accomplished. I’ve lost just over 17 pounds between November 1st and November 30th.
The weight that’s been lifted off isn’t just physical — I feel younger, more energetic…healthier! I can’t wait to keep going. I know that eating whole, natural food is what my body wants — and the support and guidance that I get from the team at CleanFoodCrush is what’s been missing in my previous attempts.
They’ve made the Challenge Plan so yummy and simple, and it’s like they’re right there holding your hand at every step.
I am excited to have signed up for an Annual Membership — I don’t want to stop!
What I love about Rachel’s recipes is that they’re easy — whole, simple foods, nothing unusual that I have to search for or order specially. The ingredients are mostly things that I typically have in my pantry plus, of course, healthy meats and vegetables. Plus I’m learning tons about nutrition, food prep and planning — the keys to success!
Despite the fact that we’re blessed with dozens of breakfast recipes, just about every morning I have the Week 1 Eggs and Banana recipe baked in a muffin tin. I love them –it feels like a feast with a few veggies thrown in and makes for a great start to the day. I think my favorite dinner recipes so far are Steak Burrito Bowls and Crockpot Pineapple Chicken. I’ve liked just about everything I’ve tried, though, and I haven’t felt hungry for an instant! I’m looking forward to trying more recipes — there are so many to choose from!
Words of wisdom? Don’t overthink it! Keep it simple, follow the examples and recommendations. Support and immediate answers to all your questions will be right here in the Facebook group, so take advantage of it. Then learn to plan ahead and enjoy all the yummy recipes!
