Hi, I’m Sara 🙂
I am just a normal  30 year old Texas girl with 3 kids and a husband. I work full time in bill review and take care of my family. I love to travel and visit new places! This is my story of how I changed my body  by losing 37 pounds and transformed my life with the help of CleanFoodCrush and the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge.Â
I was a sugar addict and thought eating processed junk was the norm.
Eating fast food was a daily occurrence. I always felt tired and sluggish and had absolutely no energy to do anything. I would wake up in the morning still feeling tired, and my back would ache. I also didn’t like the way my body looked. The truth is, I felt bad about my self image.Â
This Was Me Before I Started Following CleanFoodCrush
I am so thankful to have come across the CleanFoodCrush blog, and the support group on Facebook. It has changed my life 100%.
Rachel’s recipes are very simple, and I have yet to try one I didn’t like! They are all family approved as well. The CleanFoodCrush recipes make it easy to change the way you eat because you don’t feel deprived of the “good stuff.†I was surprised how such simple ingredients taste be so delicious! Oh ya, and if you’re curious about the group – you’ll get access to a private support group when you take the challenge, but if you want to join me in here as well, they also have a free CleanFoodCrush Clean Eating Challenge Group on Facebook to get you started.Â

What was the experience like for me and my family?Â
The most difficult part for me was quitting sugar, and getting past the symptoms of detox. But I did it!
It was also challenging at times, making adjustments to the way I was used to shopping for and preparing meals. Now it’s like a hobby and I actually really enjoy shopping and thinking up which meal I want to try next.
I am so glad I followed through with this lifestyle change I will never go back to the way I was before.Â
My family all like the meals that I prepare now (Like this Chili-Lime Fajita Salad), and it makes me feel good to know that I am serving healthy and nutritious food to them. We LOVEÂ CleanFoodCrush!
These are My Own Words of Wisdom to Anyone Starting at Square One…
Find and know your “WHY” for changing your lifestyle. When you want to go off the deep end you can remind yourself why you started. This is an important one 🙂
Take pictures of yourself on a weekly basis so you can watch yourself transform. This was one of my biggest motivators when I started. I didn’t feel like I was making progress, but when I compared my pictures I could see it.
If you have an Aldi grocery store in your area I highly suggest shopping there, or search out farmers markets or local co-ops in your neighborhood. I shopped there and they help me to keep costs down while providing healthy foods for me and my family of 5.
Remember these basics:
- lean organic meats/seafood
- vegetables, fruit
- raw nuts/seeds/beans
- healthy oils such as extra virgin olive oil, avocado oil, & coconut oil.
If you have a cheat meal, just make sure your next choice is a better one, don’t let it throw you off path.Â
