Hi I’m Jacklynn 🙂
Thanks for reading about my journey with the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge. My husband and I did this together, and we’ve had amazing results already!
I’m 33 years old and have been married to a wonderful man for almost 12 years who happened to be my high school sweetheart. We have an adorable little dog that we spoil like a child.
I’m an HR Analytics Manager. In my spare time I like to spend time outdoors – on the beach, on the bike trail or in a kayak.
Before I Embarked on the Clean Eating Journey I Had Major Sleep Problems.
I had an extremely difficult time falling asleep and staying asleep. I lacked all energy – after I would get home I would pretty much sit idle in the house and enjoy a glass of wine or two on a regular basis.
The 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge Helped Me Reverse My Sleep problems and Get Rid of My Junkfood Cravings!
- Within a few days of starting the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge I was sleeping through the night and staying asleep. I can even sleep with my shades open now and before I couldn’t stand any little bit of light in the room.
- I have SO much energy I keep going all night long. I usually have to tell myself to slow down.
- I don’t crave junk food anymore and my alcohol intake is back to a normal amount, just a couple of glasses a week instead of each night.
I am in awe of how quickly my body changed shape. Within 30 days I was trying on dresses two sizes smaller and wearing clothes that I thought would take me 3 months of intense sacrifice to wear. I find myself smiling all the time now.
I won’t lie, the first week was difficult because I didn’t prepare for the food prep required but I figured it out! At first, I was cooking a lot!
My husband is eating clean right alongside of me (He lost 19 pounds in the 30 day challenge) and we are so happy with this change.
After week one it’s very mangable and it becomes a true lifestyle. We look forward to cooking (me) and washing the dishes (him) on the meal prep days.
We spend so much more meaningful time together just cooking and eating and we both have so much more energy we just tend to spend more time together outside now too.
My words of wisdom for newcomers who are interested in taking the 30 day challenge: Just do it – it’s 30 days of your life and I promise you that you’ll never want to go back.
Week one is hard but it’s not because you are hungry, there’s so much delicious food to enjoy! It’s because you have to get used to doing food prep and being a bit organized! But it does feel manageable and quickly becomes a new lifestyle. You’ll wonder why you didn’t decide to start earlier. I’m really proud of myself and my husband and grateful for the CleanFoodCrush community!
