Meet Amber, who lost 12.6 pounds with the Clean Food Crush 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge.
Hello, my name is Amber and I am 38 and have always enjoyed being outside, enjoying life and making the best memories with family and friends. I have been married for 17 years and we have an 8-year-old son who keeps our family full of life and energy. We enjoy camping, hiking, traveling and being creative in this life. I am also a High School Special Education Science teacher which keeps me on my feet all day and is very hands-on. I love my job and family and with my whole heart.
My greatest challenges before clean eating were the rollercoaster of dieting, short term healthy eating fads, keto, sugar consumption, and Starbucks. I would just eat to eat and then when I felt like I gained too much weight, I would attempt to “diet”, which I had some successes but were short term, nothing was consistent.
I joined the CleanFoodCrush Challenge page and followed for a while. I made some recipes from the site and enjoyed all the suggestions and variety and that I was allowed to actually eat real food. I was hesitant for a while to join the actual challenge to be honest due to money, but one day it clicked and I decided to make the choice to join the challenge and do this for myself and that I deserve this.Â
This 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge helped me transform by giving me a plan that held me accountable via meal plan and a support group that was able to guide me the whole time.
The whole time I felt supported and there was never a question that was dumb, but yet always answered and with encouragement. I love the visuals, recipe/ meal variety and materials presented.
My results include:
- I lost 12.6 pounds and 5 inches
- Â I completely lost all my bloating and now when I wear crew socks, they don’t cut into my skin leaving a distinct mark.
- I’m now staying super hydrated, only drink my lemon water and black coffee, when before I barely would have 1 glass of water a day.
- My jeans fit better and sit correctly on my hips.
- I have great energy and a desire to be healthy and cook amazing meals for my family.
Before, if I messed up in my eating, I would just waste the whole day and continue eating badly. But now, if I make a mistake or eat something I shouldn’t have, I get myself right back on track
For my family this challenge was just another thing that I was going to attempt, however when my husband saw my consistency and drive, that mentality changed. My son and husband began eating my recipes, when before I’d have to change and modify my recipes to fit their wants. They loved all the variety and tasteful recipes. I even made the banana protein pancakes and didn’t tell my son and he ate 4!!!Â
After my 30 days was complete, my son said “OK, you are done, now you can stop.” ( he was fixed on the 30 day concept), and that’s when I said “Nope, this is our normal, good clean food!”
