Hello everyone, my name is Elsa Torres, I am 53 years old. My pride and joy are my 24-year-old twin boys. I’m divorced now and live alone.
When I’m not at work I like to visit my kids. I like going to the movies, working out in the yard and Netflix, but my true passion is of all things… baking.
I’ve tried A LOT of diets over the years. It would only last about two weeks and when I didn’t see results I would binge eat and give in to all of my cravings. I struggled to stay on track and gave up too easily.
The 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge helped me so much! I think the most important thing was accountability.
It was very easy for me to stay on track and that’s different than what I’ve experienced in the past. The team members Rachel has working with her are GREAT, I felt right at home and super supported!
In the first 30 Days of the challenge, I lost 17 pounds. I am now 5 months into the Challenge and I weigh 40 pounds less! I did not measure myself but I went from wearing 2x uniform to a comfortable fitting L/XL.
Before I started the Challenge, I was constantly in physical pain. Anytime I sat for 10 minutes or more, the first few steps I would take caused pain in my lower back, hips, and feet. Two weeks into the Challenge, I remember I got out of my car and I braced myself for pain, but the pain was GONE! I was so happy I cried tears of joy!
I am a nurse and I work in the Operating Room and Medical/Surgical floor, so that means working long hours on my feet for more than 12 hours. The Challenge has helped me regain my stamina with little to no pain. Now I’m looking forward to my follow up appointment with my cardiologist next month.
My family gets together at least once a week. We’re Hispanic, so when we get together we cook and we eat! All the good tasting carbs like homemade tortillas. At first, I kept the Challenge from my family. It wasn’t until towards the end of the 30 days that I told them what I was doing. All of my family has been very supportive.
They have enjoyed the recipes that I have shared with them and my brother and sisters are constantly telling me how proud they are of me. But nothing beats the feeling that I get when I see my kids looking at me with such pride and when they tell me that they’re happy that I’m getting healthier.
Words of wisdom… I will tell you that the first 30 Days I stayed about 97% true to the Challenge, right now I’m about 90%. With that being said… it’s ok to falter once in a while, we’re only human. It’s ok to take a couple of bites of that cake, just drink extra water on that day and take extra steps.
Not only have I tried several different diets and I’ve spent quite a bit of money on those diets. This program teaches how to be accountable and invest “time” in yourself with the support from Rachel and the team. In my opinion, that’s what makes it work. The $97 is nothing compared to hundreds and hundreds I’ve spent on prepackaged meals, appetite suppressants (that are dangerous) all those other diets have left me deprived. The 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge works. I’ve never felt deprived and it was the best investment I’ve made for myself.
To forgive yourself is to love yourself I hope you decide to take a chance on yourself and do the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge. You’ll be so happy you did!
