Hi Sarah! Thank you so much for interviewing with us today. Please introduce yourself!
My name is Sarah Green, I’m a 38-year-old stepmother of four teenagers. I run the office of a truck driving training school in my hometown, Indianapolis, Indiana. I am also starting my own business offering event planning services. In my free time, I love to spend time with my family and pets, read, cook, be outdoors and listen to music.
What were your greatest challenges before Clean Eating?
I’ve always struggled with my weight, but before I started Clean Eating my doctor told me I was morbidly obese, which hit me pretty hard. I weighed the same as my 6’1″ husband, and I’m 5’7″! That didn’t feel good either. Diabetes is present on both sides of my family and I was pre-diabetic. I knew it was time to make a change and I started Eating Clean a little over a year ago.
How has CleanFoodCrush and the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge help you to transform?
Doing Clean Eating on my own was a great start. Over the year I had fallen a little off track a few times and still lost about 20 pounds. But finally, I decided to invest in the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge and it changed everything for me! In the past 30 days, I’ve lost 19.8 pounds! In just one month on the challenge, I’ve accomplished what took me a year to achieve on my own!!!
It’s important to note that I currently have a torn ACL/meniscus in my knee and can not do much physical activity. I’ve done all this with hardly any exercise. Clean Eating REALLY works. Weight loss doesn’t have to be such a battle, and I’m finally seeing that thanks to CleanFoodCrush.
Inside the program, I learned the importance of getting enough protein, weighing/measuring my food to get correct portions, meal prep and the secret to staying satisfied all day long, while burning fat.
What kind of results have you experienced physically and otherwise from doing the challenge?
The challenge has shown me: I CAN DO THIS. I can stick to it, eat delicious food and change my lifestyle. This is NOT A DIET! I’m learning how to enjoy my food rather than deprive myself. I’ve lost 1.5″ in my waist, 3″ in my hips and 2″ in my thighs. I have gone down two pant sizes and must now shop for new clothes! I’ve also gained CONFIDENCE. I feel SEXY and am starting to LOVE the face looking back at me in the mirror.
What was the experience like for you, for your family?
To put it simply, the challenge for me was LIFE CHANGING! I’m very grateful for Rachel and her team for the encouraging support and delicious recipes. My fiancé loves all the meals I make. The kids are still complaining about vegetables, but I feel great about setting a good example and hope they’ll come around eventually. They’ve been raised on fast food and junk food before I came along, so this is all new to them.
What words of wisdom do you have for newcomers who are interested in taking the 30 day challenge
A few things I picked up from Rachel stuck with me during the challenge:
- You’re not going to see a change if you don’t make changes.
- It’s about progress, not perfection.
- You can do anything for 7 days.
So I would say follow the Week One instructions of the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge exactly.
Drink plenty of water. Be patient with yourself, it’s not easy to make changes. You will mess up, but just get up, dust yourself off and get right back on track with your next meal.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND investing in yourself and joining the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge. Even if you’re like me and have already been Eating Clean, making CleanFoodCrush recipes and following the page, I promise you will still learn SO much… go for it, all you’ve got to lose is pounds!
