Crockpot Maple + Mustard Chicken Drumsticks
Having SIX teenagers in our home, they request drumsticks quite often!
Typically drumsticks can take a bit of hands-on focus and definitely a close eye.
THESE tangy little babies couldn’t be simpler! I throw everything into my slow cooker and forget about it until way later in the day! THIS I can do!
The sweet mustard sauce will have you licking your fingers, and you’ll basically be the hero of your meat-loving family members! #winning
Makes about 5 servings
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs. chicken drumsticks
- 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup low sodium or homemade chicken broth/stock
- sea salt and fresh ground black pepper, to taste
OPTIONAL:
- cooked brown rice
Instructions:
In a medium glass mixing bowl, whisk together mustard, maple syrup, and ACV.
Season and rub the drumsticks with sea salt and fresh ground black pepper, to your taste. Place the drumsticks into your slow cooker and pour sauce over. Gently toss to get your drumsticks well coated.Cover and cook on HIGH 3-4 hours, or on LOW 6-8 hours. (I prefer the LOW setting.)
Once cooked through, pour your cooked sauce from the bottom of the slow cooker into a blender, and blend until smooth.Serve drumsticks and sauce on top of cooked brown rice and enjoy!

- Cover and cook on HIGH 3-4 hours, or on LOW 6-8 hours. (I prefer the LOW setting)

- Serve drumsticks and sauce on top of cooked brown rice and enjoy!
