Pan-Seared + Seasoned Green Beans 🌱
Green Beans are one of my most favorite things to enjoy throughout the Summer and Fall.
For you other green bean lovers, this recipe is really simple, ultra flavorful, and hopefully inspires you to put green beans on the dinner table tonight. These are excellent for meal prep and reheat very well.
Green beans are available year-round, though you can find them fresh at most local farmers’ markets from May through October.
6 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. fresh green beans, trimmed
- 2 Tbsps olive oil or avocado oil
- 2 tsps smoked paprika
- 1 tsp ground mustard seed
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- sea salt and ground pepper, to taste, about 1/4 teaspoon each
- 1 fresh lime or lemon, juiced
- 1 Tbsp freshly chopped parsley, for garnish
Instructions:
Rinse your beans well to clean then allow to air dry or pat dry.
Heat a large heavy skillet over medium-high heat.
In a large bowl, add your beans and toss with the oil. Next, sprinkle with all of your seasonings and continue to toss well.
Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until nicely browned in spots (cook in batches if necessary). I like mine to be a little crisp.
Once your beans are finished cooking, stir in the fresh lime or lemon juice and chopped parsley.
Enjoy!
