Carolyn’s CFC Journey: From Overwhelmed to Empowered

Today we are bringing to you another fantastic transformation. Carolyn has been a follower of CleanFoodCrush for some time but she finally took the plunge and is sharing her story of shifting from overwhelmed to empowered in her clean eating journey.

Meet Carolyn!

Hi, everyone! My name is Carolyn, and I am 51 years young. I have two grown daughters, who live not too far away from me.

My husband and I live with our beloved furbabies: Brady, Boo, and Belletrix (aka Bella).

I work by assisting families in need through government programs.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time in my garden, going to concerts with my girls, and attending tea events at a nearby historical park with my mom, daughters, and sister.

Recently, we enjoyed a tea event featuring Scottish dancers and small plates with Scottish foods. I also have a passion for photography and recently explored the Train Station in Downtown Detroit. I live in Michigan, and my home life is currently quite laid back.

I’ve been following CleanFoodCrush for years. Initially, I would receive emails with different recipes and try them out sporadically.

However, about six weeks ago, I decided I needed to make a significant change in my lifestyle. I stumbled upon information regarding the next challenge and knew that was the day I would start transforming my habits.

On June 17, 2024, I made a commitment and joined the CleanFoodCrush 30-Day Clean Eating Challenge.

The results have been remarkable.

🤩In just six weeks, I’ve lost 19.6 pounds!🤩

The challenge worked so well for me that I decided to upgrade to the VIP package to continue my journey.

🎉Not only do I feel better physically, but my mental health has also improved.

❤️For the first time, I’m not stressing about counting points or obsessing over portions.

❤️Each day is a new opportunity to take small steps toward a healthier, happier me.

😢Before discovering CleanFoodCrush, my biggest obstacle was myself.

My self-esteem had plummeted due to various personal challenges.

Despite trying numerous programs, including bariatric surgery, the weight would always creep back up.

😭Being post-menopausal didn’t help either—I was constantly exhausted, overly emotional, and struggled with sleep. 

This is the first challenge I’ve ever completed, though I’ve tried countless other programs. The constant tracking and calculating of calories or points in other programs was overwhelming.

CleanFoodCrush has taken the stress out of eating and meal planning.

Now, I plan for the week, shop only for what I need, and enjoy my meals without anxiety.

To anyone considering joining the challenge I say: “Just do it!” Try it for a month and keep a food log to track your mood and progress.

If you follow the challenge as intended, it will reward you with weight loss, self-confidence, and a deeper understanding of how to nourish your body.

You owe it to yourself to invest in something that will positively impact your life. No magic pills or shakes—just real food.

One of my favorite recipes

Two of my favorite recipes from the CleanFoodCrush blog are the simple marinara sauce and the chicken sheet pan meals (particularly the chicken made four ways).

The marinara sauce is so delicious that I’ll never buy jarred sauce again. I also love the peanut butter chocolate protein bars—they’re a chef’s kiss!

The CFC recipes are easy to make and the directions are straightforward.

What I appreciate most is how Rachel has taken some of our favorite meals and found healthier ways to enjoy them without all the added unhealthy ingredients.
