UPDATE: Shawn Has Now Lost 48 Pounds with CleanFoodCrush!

Editor’s Note: Shawn first shared his story with us in February of 2022.  Since then, he’s lost another 18 pounds and has more words of wisdom to share with us!

Hi, I'm Shawn. I have been following CFC for 5 months now.  I've been following the plan since then except for when I fell off for about a week, but was able to get back to it.

Since I started the Challenge:

  • I have lost a total of 48 lbs.
  • My cholesterol is better than when I was in my 20s.
  • I feel better
  • I have more energy
  • I sleep better.
  • Still no heartburn since the 2nd day of the 30-Day Clean Eating Challenge.

My favorite things about the CleanFoodCrush Challenge are the tools, recipes, and support.

If I can lose 20 more lbs, that will be a 100 lb loss from my heaviest of 320lbs.  That motivates me.

My wife is slowly switching over to clean eating. I have shared this with several people. Everyone asks, "How did you lose the weight?" I tell them about the CleanFoodCrush Challenge.

I had back surgery and had a great result. Several people say the weight loss had a lot to do with the outcome of my surgery.

I am proud of a lot of things but most of all I am proud of the commitment I made to myself. I started off this Challenge skeptical but very quickly proved myself wrong. Within just a few days I realized I CAN do this.

Almost 60 days later I can say I am happy with the way I look even if I still can't stand pictures of myself (one day I will learn to love them).

I can happily say that I am showing my kids how to take care of themselves in a healthy way by showing them the importance of what we are putting into our bodies. They now see me being more active. I am proud of myself for picking up the ball and playing outside instead of suggesting a movie.

Some Results I Love:

  • My skin is looking so much more clear.
  • My eyes don't have giant bags under them from lack of sleep.
  • My legs are getting stronger and my knee pain is minimal now.
  • My clothes are getting too big for me 🙂

Too many people make excuses that it’s too expensive to eat healthy. The truth of the matter is you can’t afford not to eat healthy. Also, it’s not more expensive, that’s just an excuse. I have actually saved money from meal prepping and not eating out all the time.

Knowing what I know now, and having so much experience with Clean Eating, I would tell my younger self to start this much sooner.

- Shawn
