Why Eat Frozen Fruits
✅ Not only do mangos bring a sweet and exotic flavor to the table, but they also contain a surprisingly long list of vitamins and minerals, as well as good-for-you antioxidants and plant compounds! And when you can’t get them fresh, frozen is a great option!
❄️Frozen fruits are just as good as fresh for several reasons:
1. Nutrient preservation: Freezing helps preserve the nutrients and antioxidants found in fresh fruit. The freezing process stops the ripening process, locking in the nutrients and flavors.
2. Flash freezing: Most frozen fruits are flash-frozen soon after harvesting, which helps maintain their nutritional value. Flash freezing involves quickly freezing the fruit to extremely low temperatures, preserving the nutrients and texture.
3. Year-round availability: Frozen fruits allow for year-round access to seasonal fruits, making it possible to enjoy your favorite fruits regardless of the season.
4. Cost-effective: Frozen fruits are often cheaper than fresh, especially for out-of-season or exotic fruits.
5. Convenience: Frozen fruits are already washed, chopped, and ready to use, making them a convenient option for smoothies, baking, or snacking.
6. Reduced waste: Using frozen fruits reduces food waste, as you can use exactly what you need and store the rest for later.
7. Similar taste and texture: When thawed, frozen fruits are often indistinguishable from fresh in terms of taste and texture.

Rachel’s tips for best results
- 🍋 ALWAYS use freshly squeezed lime juice from an actual fresh lime. Bottled lime juice from the store will give your sorbet a strange metallic or overly acidic taste. We want this nice & fresh!
- Remember, not all frozen fruits are created equal. Look for products with no added sugars, preservatives, or sauces to get the most nutritional benefits.
- To make this sorbet a bit more firm, you can pop it in the freezer for an hour or two.

Storage
Store this frozen mango dessert in an air tight container in the freezer for up to 8 weeks. Then just pull it out and scoop it into a bowl whenever you feel like having fresh mango sorbet!
