2 Ingredient Mango Sorbet

Sweet, refreshing, and ridiculously easy to make – that’s what Cleafoodcrush®️ is all about!

A healthy and fun treat that’s ready in just a few minutes, fun for the kids to help with, and supplies an absolutely dreamy texture & flavor!

This sorbet is made with just two ingredients: frozen mango and fresh lime juice. That’s it! No added sugars, no preservatives, and no unnecessary fuss.

And the best part? Mangos are a nutritional powerhouse, packed with vitamins A and C, potassium, and fiber. Plus, they’re bursting with antioxidants and plant compounds that will make you feel like you’re indulging in a tropical paradise.

So, grab those frozen mango chunks and let’s get blending! Your taste buds (and your family) will thank you.

🥭 When was the last time you 1) bought a mango or 2) ate anything with mango in it?

✅ Not only do mangos bring a sweet and exotic flavor to the table, but they also contain a surprisingly long list of vitamins and minerals, as well as good-for-you antioxidants and plant compounds!

🍋 ALWAYS use freshly squeezed lime juice from an actual fresh lime. Bottled lime juice from the store will give your sorbet a strange metallic or overly acidic taste. We want this nice & fresh!

❄️Frozen fruits are just as good as fresh for several reasons:

1. Nutrient preservation: Freezing helps preserve the nutrients and antioxidants found in fresh fruit. The freezing process stops the ripening process, locking in the nutrients and flavors.

2. Flash freezing: Most frozen fruits are flash-frozen soon after harvesting, which helps maintain their nutritional value. Flash freezing involves quickly freezing the fruit to extremely low temperatures, preserving the nutrients and texture.

3. Year-round availability: Frozen fruits allow for year-round access to seasonal fruits, making it possible to enjoy your favorite fruits regardless of the season.

4. Cost-effective: Frozen fruits are often cheaper than fresh, especially for out-of-season or exotic fruits.

5. Convenience: Frozen fruits are already washed, chopped, and ready to use, making them a convenient option for smoothies, baking, or snacking.

6. Reduced waste: Using frozen fruits reduces food waste, as you can use exactly what you need and store the rest for later.

7. Similar taste and texture: When thawed, frozen fruits are often indistinguishable from fresh in terms of taste and texture.

Remember, not all frozen fruits are created equal. Look for products with no added sugars, preservatives, or sauces to get the most nutritional benefits.

4 servings

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups frozen mango chunks
  • a squeeze of fresh lime juice

Instructions:

Place your frozen mango and fresh lime juice in a food processor or high-speed blender and process until smooth.

You may need to stop a couple of times and scrape the sides of the bowl with a spatula to get everything incorporated.

Divide into bowls and immediately serve. Or cover and freeze for enjoying later.
Enjoy!
