Darla’s Journey to Health and Freedom with Little Black Dress

Today we’re catching up with Darla, a dedicated CleanFoodCrush member from North Carolina, who, along with her husband, recently transformed their health and lifestyle through the CleanFoodCrush Little Black Dress Program. Determined to make a change, they started the program on January 1, 2025, and the results have been nothing short of incredible.

Meet Darla,

Hi, my name is Darla, and I’m from North Carolina. My husband and I joined the Little Black Dress program on January 1, 2025.

🎉Four weeks in, I’ve lost 14 pounds and 10 inches, and my husband has lost 28 pounds! 🎉

One of my biggest non-scale victories has been overcoming arthritis pain in my lower back. For about a year, I suffered daily pain that disrupted my sleep and made it difficult to work my busy retail job, which requires a lot of lifting and bending. I tried steroids, physical therapy, and muscle relaxers, but nothing worked—until LBD.

🤩By Week 3, I noticed I was sleeping through the night and had almost no back pain. The inflammation was gone! Now, in Week 6, I’m still pain-free and even able to work out again. 🤩

The LBD program has taught my husband and me how to eat in a way that fuels our bodies. We both have demanding jobs—I run a busy retail store, and he’s in law enforcement with a rotating schedule. Planning and prep have been key to our success.

I’ve done CleanFoodCrush  programs before with great success, but this past year, life caught up with me, and I gained some weight back. I knew I wanted to return to Rachel’s programs, and that’s when I found LBD.

🌟Now, in Week 6, I feel amazing. We have a new energy about us and can do more without feeling exhausted. 🌟

As we near the end of the 6 weeks, we feel confident we can continue. We’ve learned that structure and planning are SO important for success. We’ve also discovered new foods we love, like turkey burgers and turkey meatballs with red sauce over spaghetti squash. Before this program, we never thought we’d enjoy ground turkey!

This past week, we celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary with a trip to the mountains. We hiked to see several waterfalls and enjoyed dining out while staying on track with our healthy eating. It was a wonderful reminder of how far we’ve come.
