Clean Food Love

Hi there!

My name is Brigid and I’m 24 years old! I am a full-time preschool teacher and am a full-time graduate student. This is my review of the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge!

Before I learned about Clean Eating with CleanFoodCrush, I had such a hard time finding things to motivate me to take good care of my body.

I have traditionally been motivated by the number on the scale. I felt like I was eating well, and “balanced it out” with cheat meals.  I was getting frustrated because I felt like the only way I was going to see change was to work out. The problem was, I didn’t have the right mindset or motivation to commit to working out.

I would come home fatigued and lethargic after work and definitely wouldn’t make it to the gym. I got myself up to make 5:45 AM gym sessions which worked for a while but I hated it. Nothing seemed to stick.

After finishing the CleanFoodCrush 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge, I realize that my diet really wasn’t that healthy. I had no idea that the foods I thought were good for me were actually a major part of why I wasn’t making progress.

They all had hidden sugars. Refined sugar is in sooo many foods, it’s crazy! While it was difficult to wrap my head around how to avoid it, I am so glad I stuck with the challenge. I am more aware of the foods I eat and have found a great balance that fits my goals and my lifestyle.

I have so much more energy, am actually EXCITED to go to the gym, my acne has cleared up, and of course, I have seen other scale and non-scale victories!

  • I am finally proud of my stomach again (it used to be one of my favorite parts of my body)!
  • I lost 6 pounds in my first week and 8 pounds after one month (I did have a few very conscientious cheats).
  • My first goal was to lose 10 pounds so I was basically got there just by completing this challenge.

My boyfriend wasn’t as excited about this but I can’t blame him. I have made him do so many other diets and “lifestyle changes” that I never stuck with and were all for nothing. The first week was rough but after that, he was a real trooper and so supportive. He didn’t want to lose weight so we modified his diet but he saw himself lean out which made him happy too!

I know how easy it to feel defeated and give up,  but I promise you that this is something you can do. The hardest part is the first week. You can do it for 7 days and I promise that everything will taste PHENOMENAL after the detox week. Also, meal prep is a total game changer!

I hope you find the inspiration to make your dreams a reality! With the help of Rachel and the entire CleanFoodCrush team, I succeeded and I know you can too 🙂

Thanks for reading,
Brigid
