Meet Jennifer, Who Lost 7 Pounds 8 Inches with CleanFoodCrush

My name is Jennifer, and I am a 50-year-old wife, mom, and teacher. I live in North Carolina, and I enjoy reading, hiking, and hanging out with my family.

I discovered Rachel and CleanFoodCrush on Facebook a few years ago, and I have been following her and using a few of her recipes here and there, but I never thought I could actually commit to the program. I finally decided to give it a try in August 2022.

In 8 weeks, I lost 7 pounds and 8 inches without starving myself!

Before Joining the Challenge, I had been tracking calories for several years.  I was able to lose weight that way, but any time I would quit tracking calories, the weight would sneak back on.

I  was still eating a lot of unhealthy foods that left me feeling tired, bloated, and irritable.

Thanks to the 30-Day Clean Eating Challenge, I have so much more energy and feel so much better!

I have tried so many delicious and satisfying recipes, and each week I look forward to adding a couple new recipes to my menu. My favorite recipes are the sheet pan sausage and roasted veggies, baked feta zoodles, and baked oatmeal.

Before the Challenge, one bad day could de-rail me for weeks. Now if I do have a bad day, I get up the next day ready to get back on track. But it’s easier to stay “on track” with this program than it was with my previous eating plan (eat whatever I wanted as long as it fit in my calorie budget).

There’s just something about knowing I’m fueling my body well.

I teach in a Christian school, and one of the things I teach my students is about how we were created in God’s image and how amazingly He created the human body. If I believe this (and I do), doesn’t it just make sense to treat my body well instead of like a garbage disposal? I think so!

If you think you can’t do it, just give the Challenge a try. Commit to 30 Days. I put it off for so long because I am such a picky eater, I have a crazy schedule, and my family is definitely not on board with clean eating.

I’m so glad I gave it a chance.

I’ve been able to make it work. I prep my breakfasts and lunches. For dinners, I make a couple clean meals each week and then eat the leftovers while my husband has the kind of stuff he wants.
