Tangy Dill Pickle Hummus
Dip into a refreshing and creative twist on traditional hummus for snack time this week! 🥒
Our Tangy Dill Pickle Hummus is a probiotic-rich and ultra-flavorful dip that combines the creaminess of garbanzo beans with the tanginess of pickles. Yes, you read that right – pickles!
But not just any pickles. We’re talking about fermented, refrigerated pickles that contain the “good” bacteria your body craves. And when you blend them with garlic, dill, tahini, lemon juice, and coriander seed, magic happens!
This hummus is not only delicious but also packed with nutrients and probiotics, making it a great option for a healthy snack or appetizer. And the best part? It’s easy to make and customize to your taste preferences.
So go ahead, give our Dill Pickle Hummus a try, and enjoy it with crunchy veggies like cauliflower, bell peppers, celery, and carrots. Your taste buds and body will thank you!
👌Pickle juice can be a great probiotic and often can relieve muscle cramping.
💡TIP: Do you have any pickles in your fridge? Go check the ingredients list!
✅Chances are if you buy regular commercial pickles … you’re not getting healthy probiotics from them!
👉🏾For pickles to contain the “good” bacteria, they must be fermented in a solution of water and salt and be REFRIGERATED. Pickles sitting on the store shelf (no refrigeration) do NOT fall into this “raw” probiotic rich category.
🔥Check your store’s refrigerated section for probiotic-rich pickles and be sure to read the labels!
❓️What’s your favorite brand of pickles?
🍋ALWAYS use freshly-squeezed lemon juice from an actual fresh citrus. Bottled juice from the store will give your hummus a strange metallic or overly acidic taste. We want this dip to taste fresh & bright!
💛Want to get the most juice possible from each of your fresh lemons? Of course, we do! Here’s a quick trick:
On your counter or a cutting board, press and roll the lemon back and forth very firmly with your hands.
The rolling loosens and breaks down some of the citrus membranes and makes the outside a little more pliable.
This makes it easier to squeeze which also means you’ll likely get more juice from your squeeze.
Let me know how this works for you!
