Clean Food Love

Hi, my name is Brandy and I am 42 years old. I lost 10 pounds and 8 inches in my first 30 days with the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge. Here is my story 🙂 

I live in Washington state and love the rain. I spent the last three years working full time in the military and attending college while raising a family.

This left me being less active, eating, and drinking wine more than I should have. Now that school is completed I workout at my favorite gym, walk the dogs and spend time with friends and family.

 

I have done many different diets that always removed body mass but were so restrictive that I would fail to maintain the plan after the 21-30 days.

The weight would always come back with a few extra pounds. I knew the right things to do but still had portion control issues and told myself that I was an adult, so if I wanted wine, I could have it. This also came with additional late-night eating, lots of cheese and additional dark chocolate.

I joined CleanFoodCrush because Clean Eating has so many benefits and I knew that I could sustain it for longer than 30 days.

I was surprised after the first week, I didn’t feel like I needed to change. The basic plan is laid out each week, and there were lots of choices to incorporate different meals.

Meal prep became fun for me! I spent much less money at Starbucks and my food bill was more manageable too. But oddly enough, I was eating more food!

The support group was incredibly helpful as inside, Rachel and her team, along with other members shared additional recipe ideas, guidance, and videos to help with the journey. 

My gym is a high-intensity workout and I had no issues having the energy to do each workout. Combining the two helped me drop body mass and now I am beginning to feel definition. I am 5’2 and my beginning weight was 163. 

On day 30 my weight was 153, I lost a total of 10lbs, and over 8 inches on my body in the first 30 days! Here are a few more of my results:

  • The first change I experienced was sleeping better.
  • I no longer had nightmares when I closed my eyes and felt refreshed upon waking (this happened at the end of week one).
  • I could feel my clothes getting looser as the weeks progressed.
  • When I took my final picture in the exact same clothing, I felt that my breasts had lifted.
  • I still have 13lbs. to go and I plan to continue on this program because my results will be more dramatic.

This plan is easy to follow, and I am continuing because this feels like a new, healthy way of life. My husband is supportive of my choice to adopt a Clean Eating lifestyle. He deployed in the beginning of my challenge and my daughter (age 12) loves the dinners I make and doesn’t notice that they are super healthy. She just enjoys the amazing recipes I make!

If I were to give any advice, I would say stick with the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge. Eating Clean will help with your mental and physical well-being. The first week can be a struggle, but if you stay focused you will see results.

Don’t allow others to pull you off course. Always bring food with you and if you find yourself eating out, make good choices. If you struggle and make a couple of bad choices, shake it off, and get back on track.

Stay focused on you, you can only control your own choices in life. Being strong mentally and physically can help you when life throws troubles your way. You can do this!
