Carrie Stopped Yo-Yo Dieting For Good With CFC

This week we’re spotlighting Carrie – a busy mom of three teenagers who has been on a “diet” since she was 15 years old but stopped all that with CleanFoodCrush 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge.

My name is Carrie, I am a wife and mother of 3 beautiful teenage daughters. I am a Human Resource Business Partner for an international company. I live in Wisconsin, and I love to spend time with my family and travel as much as possible. Our home away from home is Siesta Key, FL.

I think I have been on a diet since I was 15 years old. You name a diet…I have tried it.

I have pretty good will power when my mindset is right and have been successful with almost all of them, but always yo-yo back.

The reason is…they were always a “diet”. That is not sustainable. For the first time in my life, I am not on a diet. I joined a PROGRAM that taught me nutrition. I am forever grateful.

I have been following CleanFoodCrush since 2020. I was very successful on my own and lost around 30 lbs.

😭Unfortunately, I had gained it all back (and a little more).

😭Doing it on my own was hard work.

Researching everything on my own and then eventually logging all of my food in MyFitnessPal, as I discovered clean eating can still cause weight gain if eating too many calories.

😭In May of 2023, I was at my highest weight since I had my twins.

I knew I had to join the challenge and truly learn the science behind clean eating.

They claimed I wouldn’t have to count calories and I had to find out how that was possible.

I can attest that those statements are in fact true.

I joined my first challenge June 1st 2023 .

🎉In my first 30 days, I lost 15.4 lbs

🎉4 inches in my waist and

🎉3 inches in my hips without counting one calorie!

🎉By August, I was down around 22 pounds. and I felt fabulous.

I will admit I was not the best food prepper, and I don’t workout nearly as much as I should, but I found success during those months.

I was doing really well until the end of October and then the cold weather and holidays were coming. 

I started slipping into old habits and before I knew it, I was back to eating poorly and gaining weight. 

Back to my all-or-nothing mentality.

 I was so disappointed in myself and basically gained back all the weight I lost in just two short months.

I realized that this program isn’t a magic wand.  I wasn’t automatically cured from my bad relationship with food.  I discovered this will forever be a process and it might take years to get it perfect. 

I am an annual member, so I jumped on board the January challenge determined not to be defeated!

It basically mirrored my June results.

I still have about 12 more pounds to loose, but I am not giving up and sticking with CleanFoodCrush to get me through the hard days. 

It isn’t a cookie cutter program and everyone has to find what works for them, but it is surely a fantastic template.

😍I am enjoying the weight loss and the compliments I receive asking if I’ve lost weight, but I underestimated the other benefits.

🌟I am sleeping much better

🌟My hair and skin is so much better and

🌟My rosacea is almost non-existent.

🌟 Overall, I just feel better in my skin and the number on the scale isn’t the most important thing anymore. 

The best part is, my family is eating healthier as well and my daughters know more about nutrition and ingredients than I ever did at their age.

I love the challenge and what it has taught me.  I look forward to continuing and getting the support from Rachel and her team for as long as it takes.

My husband and my daughters are my “why” and I love when they can see me love myself.
