From Deprived to Nourished: Michele’s Clean Eating Journey

Today we’re happy to introduce you to Michele – a 52 year old spouse and mother.

Meet Michele!

The CleanFoodCrush 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge changed my life. As a busy 52 year old woman with a stressful career and family, I struggled for years to find a nutrition plan that worked for me.

I wanted to lose weight, gain energy, and improve my health. When I discovered CleanFoodCrush, I knew their approach to eating clean, nourishing foods would be the solution I was looking for.

After following CleanFoodCrush for a couple of years, I finally took the plunge and signed up for their 30-day challenge in January 2024.

🎉I not only lost 5 pounds and an inch off my waist, but I had a marked improvement in my energy levels and stamina.

The challenge taught me how to eat in a way that fueled my body optimally.

I was eating healthy mostly but I didn’t think I needed more protein and I was always hungry when trying to lose weight.

I felt deprived a lot and carbs/beans were easier to prepare so I ate very little meat/protein.

Now that I’ve added it in, I feel so much more satisfied and some of the recipes, such as the Buffalo chicken meatballs are so satisfying!

Another benefit is that my family is eating much more protein which they also benefit from.

I learned:

🎉Now that I eat a high-protein breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I don’t experience the energy crashes I used to get.

🎉I feel satisfied with smaller portion sizes, and I no longer have intense sugar cravings begging to be satisfied.

The CleanFoodCrush challenge changed my approach to nutrition and my mindset around food.

 I see my meals as an opportunity to nourish my body and give it the fuel it needs. I enjoy making recipes like the Buffalo chicken meatballs and overnight oats from the challenge.

Beyond the meal plans and recipes, my favorite part of the challenge was the supportive community.

I never felt alone thanks to the active Facebook group and coaches checking in daily.

I could post any question and get ideas when struggling. It was also motivating to see other people’s progress photos and successes.

Having a built-in support system made staying on track so much easier.

 I love and need the support to stay on track because it’s easy to slide into old habits!

For 7 weeks now I’ve followed the program and I love it! I used to be consistent for a while but there was nothing outside of myself to keep me focused and motivated so I’d lose momentum and slowly start eating less healthy.

I love the challenge so much I’m planning on an annual membership.
