Homemade Salmon Burgers

YOU can make PERFECT salmon burgers from scratch rather than buying pre-made patties from a store, and I’m going to show you how.

They’re really simple, quick, and insanely TASTY. Our homemade salmon burgers come together in just about 15 minutes, making them the perfect meal – anytime.

Made entirely with fresh wild salmon, herbs, and seasonings without adding any breadcrumbs.

These salmon burgers are light, and tender. The flavor is SUPER fresh because the burger is made of mostly fresh fish.

Rich in Omega-3s and Vitamin B, salmon burgers are healthy and REALLY GOOD.

Wild salmon contains an antioxidant called astaxanthin, this is what makes the wild salmon meat a beautiful dark pink to red color. It’s because of its natural diet!

Although wild-caught salmon typically costs a bit more than farmed salmon, it’s definitely worth its weight!

Wild-caught salmon has more vitamins, minerals, and anti-inflammatory benefits.

I try to purchase salmon when I notice wild-caught salmon is on SALE. If it’s a really great sale, then maybe I’ll even stock the freezer too.

Salmon makes almost every “superfood” list out there – especially if you are talking about wild-caught Atlantic or sockeye salmon.

Not only is it loaded with protein and heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids, but it contains a long list of vitamins and minerals – especially B vitamins and potassium.

It’s linked with a lower risk of heart disease and its healthy fats mean it’s good for your brain health.

✅ TIP: Whenever possible, get wild-caught salmon as it is more nutrient-dense.

It’s delicious in sushi, grilled, baked, or broiled – and when it’s cooked, the leftovers are amazing in salad or tacos the next day!

When is the last time YOU had salmon!?

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp ground pepper
  • 2 Tbsps chopped fresh dill

  • Crisp lettuce leaves, sliced red onions, sliced tomato, homemade ketchup, or mayonnaise

Instructions:

Cut your salmon into 1″ pieces and place it in a food processor. Add in the egg, lemon juice, all seasonings, and fresh dill.

Pulse for 30 – 45 seconds, or until nicely minced.

Create four equal patties from your burger mixture, squeezing them until they hold together. Refrigerate your patties for at least 20 minutes before cooking.

Heat the oil in a large skillet.

Cook your patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Serve your salmon patties with red onion, sliced garden tomato, and homemade ketchup, all wrapped up in crisp lettuce leaves.

Enjoy!
