Meet Joanna, Who Lost 50 Pounds with CleanFoodCrush!
Hey everyone!! My name is Joanna. I am 48 and live in Texas. I am a widow with 2 grown kids and one grandbaby. I am a registered nurse and I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
My greatest obstacles to eating before was “thinking” I was eating healthy when I was actually eating a lot of processed and sugar-laden foods. I have always had a soda and sugar addiction and was having extreme difficulty overcoming it.
I began the Clean Food Crush Challenge in July 2021 and have followed it pretty closely for the past 5 months.
I followed the program exactly and made it through the first week, not missing the sugar. Once I was able to get past the first week I was able to focus on eating healthy, clean food to fuel my body.
I noticed more energy and I was able to sleep better. Now I have allowed myself to have the occasional soda or sweet treat, but I don’t crave them like I used to and they are just on occasions. I am now able to have my treat and then return to my clean eating. I have also noticed if I do eat something processed or sugary I feel horrible for a few days, which makes it not worth it.
I Have Lost 50lbs to Date
I would like to lose another 20lbs.
In addition to physically feeling better, I feel better emotionally and mentally with a clear mind.
Many people have come to me and asked me what I have been doing and to tell me how good I look. That encouragement goes a long way!!
I love some of the basic recipes from the first week, like the banana egg pancake/muffins and the roasted brussel sprouts. They help simplify my life. I have made many of the soup recipes and they are delicious!
If anyone is on the fence, I highly recommend jumping in!! Yes, food prep takes some time but in the long run it makes the week easier and sets you up for success!
