Hi, my name is Leslie and I am 43 years.
This is my story of how I lost 28 pounds and 9 inches with the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge!
For fun, I l love being outdoors in nature, and love spending time with my boyfriend of five years. He has been my rock and I’m so thankful for his support.
I have a 19-year old son who loves to ride his dirt bike. I enjoy watching him develop into a man, and up until now, raising him has always been a main focus other than work.
I got divorced in 2007 when my son was still young and decided to take a work transfer to give my son and me a better opportunity (I work in the oil and gas industry.)
In 2009 work presented another relocation opportunity where we still reside today. These moves have been challenging for me and have sometimes made it difficult for me to focus on my health.
Around that time, I also began taking online college courses which really started to derail my health. I was sitting for long hours along with sitting mostly at work as well. I was addicted to sugar and spent my entire life addicted to pop.
Although I had some success in the past following weight watchers or buying sugar-free or fat-free options, I was still sabotaging my body with junk food. I felt bloated constantly and struggled with indigestion. I also had continual aches and pains in my hips, back and legs.
Then I found CleanFoodCrush and it has seriously helped me change my life for the better. I started the Clean Eating Challenge at the end of 2019 and almost immediately began feeling better in my stomach. I had no indigestion for the first time in a long time!
- In my first round of the challenge I started noticing that my joints didn’t ache and that I had more energy.
- I started to exercise and feel stronger as well.
- I also feel fuller longer and really notice the different flavors in foods.
The support of the CleanFoodCrush team has been unimaginably helpful, and having peers in the group to share ideas and support each other as we all navigate the same challenges was such a blessing. Each week of the program has detailed steps along with easy recipes that you can follow.
As of March 6 2020, I am down 28 lbs and 9 1/4 inches. My joints don’t ache anymore and I am full of energy! I also just have a calmer sense about myself overall. There is a sense of peace within my body.
My boyfriend has Hashimoto’s and eats gluten-free. I always tried to cook for him but I didn’t realize that many ingredients we were using had sugar or other unhealthy ingredients. The 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge has really opened my eyes to properly reading labels and using Clean ingredients.
My boyfriend loved the program and has lost 15 pounds just through me changing the ingredients we use to cook our meals. My next mission will be helping my son make better choices.
My words of wisdom to anyone who’s considering this challenge: do this for yourself and for your health! It’s ok to focus on yourself, you’re worthy of this time! Take it one step at a time and put yourself in the mindset of moving forward each day.
