Meet Lisa, Who Lost 13 Pounds with CleanFoodCrush!

My name is Lisa Michels, I’m 56 years old and I’ve been married to my best friend for 14 years. I have three grown kids, one grandson and two furkids. I have been in the accounting field for over 30 years and not a day goes by that I don’t love my job; bringing my furkids with me is a bonus! My husband and I love to travel and explore many different areas; hiking, mountain biking, finding new music venues, attending car shows, dirt races, cruising through the mountains, walking on the beach and whatever new comes up.

I have been making Rachel’s recipes for about a year now and finally took the plunge and joined the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge in February.

My greatest obstacle before joining CleanFoodCrush was being a sugar addict and an emotional eater. The more refined sugar I ate, the more I wanted. It was like being on a merry-go-round and not being able to get off. The less self-esteem I had, the more I ate. I would grab any snack available just to satisfy my emotions.

CleanFoodCrush and the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge has helped me to succeed by giving me all the tools I needed to reach my goals. The first couple of days I noticed my sugar cravings diminishing and my mindset was to follow this plan the way it was laid out. I no longer have sugar cravings nor am I an emotional eater. I keep reminding myself that I need to eat to live and not live to eat.

My energy level is Through the Roof!

I am able to work out 6 days a week with no feeling of being fatigued or tired.

I have lived with constant pain from bulging/herniated disks in my lower back, bursitis in my hips, and tendinitis in my rotator cuff.

Since starting CleanFoodCrush and eating healthy, I have not had one issue or any pain and I’m able to do more than a week of working out. We travel a lot and given the materials to succeed while traveling is the best boost I needed. I don’t deprive myself of food, I satisfy my body with the right foods.

My two favorite recipes are the Artichoke Chicken Piccata and the Wild Blueberry and Almond Baked Oatmeal.

Throughout the Challenge, I have lost 13lbs and also lost a lot of self-doubts while gaining a healthier me with more self-confidence and joy in my life. My big victory is the NSV (non-scale victory) going from a size 10 jeans to a size 4.

My husband has lost 23 pounds and also benefits from all the delicious, healthy foods.

My words of wisdom for anyone thinking about joining this Challenge is to take that leap of faith! You will never know if you don’t try! Follow the Plan because it really works!

The support of the challenge groups including Rachel and the Admins is second to none and the materials supplied make the challenge that much easier.
