Hello there!

My name is Erin and this is my review of the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge.

I am 35 years old and I live in the great state of Texas. I am a mother of two beautiful boys age 9 and 7 years old.

I’ve been married to my elementary school sweetheart for a little over 13 years. Professionally, I am a pediatric operating room nurse at a local children’s hospital and I absolutely love my job. 

My health goals before Clean Eating were more like far-out hopes and dreams. I had never really reached my health goals and I felt miserable in the pursuit. For my whole life, I was a yo-yo dieter.

I tried all of the fad diets and none of them gave me the results that I was hoping for. Counting calories made me feel hungry all the time and I felt like I wasn’t really able to live a normal life.

My main challenge before turning to CleanFoodCrush and Clean Eating was finding time to prepare healthy meals. As a busy mom and working 5 days a week, I struggled to prioritize my health.

I started following Rachel and her recipes years ago. Finally, at the end of 2017, I decided that I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. My blood sugar spikes and drops made for a miserable life, and I was starting to need coffee just to survive the drive from work to home. 

My biggest wake-up call was when I was driving home after picking my kids up from school and I fell asleep at the wheel. Fortunately, I woke up just in time to slam on my breaks before hitting the car in front of me. It was then I realized that it was time for a change. 

I decided to do Rachel’s 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge that started January of 2018 and it was truly the best decision of my life.

When I started the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge I was overwhelmed at first but I had an amazing support system with my husband and he was open to change as well. The first week – “sugar detox week”, was more difficult than I thought it would be. I guess we don’t realize how addicted we are to sugar until we remove it from our daily habits.

I experienced headaches and other withdrawal symptoms, but they disappeared quickly because I was replacing my unhealthy habits with healthy ones. 

Soon after the challenge, I began to notice that I wasn’t hungry all the time as usual, and I could eat whenever I wanted as long as it was a healthy snack. The meal prepping was the biggest change in my life. I did all of my planning on Sunday’s and that way I was well prepared for the week. I still follow this practice today and it has transformed my life.

During the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge I lost 20 pounds. I gained more confidence and my family and friends could notice my physical changes as well. I no longer have sugar spikes and crashes and my brain fog and extreme fatigue have cleared! 

My results have caused an amazing avalanche of change that’s trickled down to my husband and my children. My husband lost weight, and my children now associate food with fuel for their growing bodies, and I can see them making healthier decisions and looking at labels with me in the grocery store! CleanFoodCrush has helped me build a lifestyle and I no longer bring the word “diet” into my home. 

I reached my goal weight on December 28th, 2019 and I couldn’t be prouder of myself and how far I have come!

My advice to anyone who is debating joining the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge is DO IT! You will be SO happy you did.

Fully commit to a better you and follow the program the way it is designed. I am beyond proud of myself for the decision I made to join in 2018. I am a completely different woman today compared to the woman I was back then. I am happier, healthier, and show up better for my family.
