My name is Donna Turner and I live in Melbourne, Florida.
I began the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge at 150 pounds, but I had already been following Rachel’s recipes from her Instagram page since January!! By the time the challenge start date rolled around I had already lost 13 pounds just from Eating Clean with Rachel’s recipes!
I’m 70 years old and married with two daughters and a grandson. I’ve been retired for almost 12 years and for fun, I am a watercolor painter, love to travel with my husband, sample new wines and try new ethnic food.
My greatest challenge before Clean Eating was reducing sugar in my diet. I failed miserably the past 10 years. I am a 20 year Breast Cancer Survivor and all the hormones and steroid medications didn’t help when it came to keeping weight off.
I remember the moment a friend took a photo of me last New Year’s Eve. I was shocked when I saw that photo… it was a sad eye opener for me. It never dawned on me that I had let my weight go. I didn’t see it. I just kept on eating cookies and ice cream and buying larger sizes!
On January 2nd, 2018 I began Rachel’s Program when I downloaded 30 Days of Eating Clean recipes. At that moment I decided to dedicate 5 days out of my life and I began the 5 day Challenge.
After 3 days, I had no sugar cravings! I was determined to remain true to the challenge. I next began the 7 Day Challenge and got through just fine. I was totally ready to try the 30 Day Challenge, a bit scared but ready.
CleanFoodCrush and the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge taught me how to Eat Clean for the rest of my life.
We received camaraderie, and a community built to help us succeed.
Any cravings I now have are for the vivid colors of vegetables and fruits, nuts, unsweetened coconut flakes, and cacao. I’m so grateful I found this information that will serve me for the rest of my life 🙂
The results of the Challenge are ever present in my energy levels, how my body looks, my hair shines. My skin is clear and healthy and I’m sleeping better than ever. Not to mention my new level of self esteem! Since the end of the challenge I have lost 2 more inches!
This has been a great experience for me and my family who all stood behind me with their support.
My youngest daughter, Kristen, had already been making some of Rachel’s recipes and was the person who inspired me to get onboard and take the challenges. All of Rachel’s recipes are very delicious and my husband has enjoyed all our dinners. He boasts about how awesome they are!
