Thanks for the invitation! My name is Jude 🙂 I’m 56 years old, and happily married. We have a beautiful family and a new grandchild in the picture!
What were you struggling with before you discovered Clean Eating?
I have a lot of food allergies and in most of the diets I’ve tried, the first week was always a list of foods I couldn’t have. I followed CFC for a year before I joined the challenge. Daisy and Billie talked to me about how I could switch out certain things that I couldn’t eat and successfully, I was able to lose 9 pounds!
How has CleanFoodCrush and the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge help you to transform?
I found CleanFoodCrush on Facebook. I followed a lot of cooking pages, but something special stood out for me about Rachel and her team. I joined the main group and at first, I was very leery because previous diets I tried all led me to failure. I’m in menopause, so it’s not as easy to lose weight anymore.
With Clean Eating it’s a totally different story. It’s not a diet, and really it’s a lifestyle change for my husband and me. This is just how it is for us now and we’re very happy. He joined the challenge with me and lost about 22 pounds!
I weighed myself today, and I’ve lost 32 pounds! What I like about this is it’s slow and steady, I’m not in a rush and I know it’s going to work. I don’t worry about weighing or measuring anymore because my clothes definitely showing the results.
We were eating the wrong things before, and through this program, we gained a lot of clarity around what’s healthy and the portion sizes that work for us. We have all these friends doing weight watchers or medical programs, and their carb intake and processed foods intake is still quite high, but I notice how GOOD I feel as a result of eating healthy foods not just for weight loss, but to FEEL better overall.
What kind of results have you experienced physically and otherwise from doing the challenge?
I don’t even look at this as a diet anymore! We go out once a month for a burger, but this is how we live. When you’re eating healthy and you have all these good nutrients in your body, you feel the effect when you eat food that isn’t nutritious.
Before I started I could barely walk around, I was so achy and in pain when I woke up. All of that is gone! I feel and look 10 years younger, my body feels energized, my husband is working out 3 days of the week… it’s changed everything for us! My hot flashes have really eased off now and I just feel unbelievable.
What words of wisdom do you have for newcomers who are interested in taking the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge?
I would tell them that if they work the program, they’re going to see results, there’s no doubt about it. Join the challenge! That’s where I learned everything. I thought I knew how to portion my foods and I was doing it all wrong. The challenge helped to put everything into perspective for me.
The support and encouragement is like no other plan out there. Let yourself receive the help – if you’re on the fence about something you should or shouldn’t be eating, the team is right there to answer your questions, it’s invaluable. What a life-changing program!
