From Struggle to Success: Sherry’s Health Transformation
We caught up with one of our annual members inside the CleanFoodCrush 30-day Clean Eating Challenge. You can read all about her first challenge here.

Meet Sherry
My journey with CleanFoodCrush began in 2016, but it wasn’t until November 2023 that I fully committed to the program by joining the annual membership.
While I’d followed CleanFoodCrush recipes for meals, my consistency wavered over the years, particularly when the pandemic hit, and I fell back into unhealthy habits. However, the decision to dive back in was life-changing—literally.
Before the pandemic, I was on track with the clean eating plans that I had learned in the previous 30-Day Challenge, seeing positive changes in my health.
But when Covid-19 began, the availability of certain foods became a challenge. Staples like eggs were hard to find, and I struggled to maintain my usual eating habits.
😫Unfortunately, I succumbed to old temptations, particularly sugar, and saw my weight creeping back up. It was a frustrating period, especially since I knew how much better I felt when sticking to the CleanFoodCrush clean eating plan.
In 2024, my cholesterol levels skyrocketed, leading to a critical turning point.
All my life, I had been sensitive to most medications, and after a brief trial with cholesterol medication, I had to stop due to side effects. I knew I had to take control of my health naturally.
Within the first 30 days of rejoining the Clean Eating Challenge, I lost 10 pounds.
However, the holiday season and a new health diagnosis temporarily derailed my progress.
Shortly after, I contracted Covid-19, which exacerbated my hypoglycemia, turning it into full-blown diabetes.
My doctor offered little guidance on managing my new condition, and the earliest I could see a dietitian was eight weeks away.
😫Feeling lost, I turned to what I knew—CleanFoodCrush.
🥳To my relief, the 30-Day Clean Eating Challenge aligned almost perfectly with the dietitian’s recommendations.
In fact, when I finally met with her (the dietitian), she was impressed by my nutritional knowledge, She said I am much more educated than all of her other clients about nutrition in general which is mostly the result of CleanFoodCrush’s guidelines and support.
The journey wasn’t easy, but it was worth it. By sticking to simple, clean meals, and making some adjustments – I was prescribed a glucose sensor and ended up having to modify some complex carbs like old-fashioned oats to steel cut for example.
Since contracting Covid-19…
🌟I’ve lost an additional 10 pounds, bringing my total weight loss to 20 pounds.
🌟More importantly, my A1C levels dropped from 6.5 to 5.8, and
🌟my cholesterol is now the lowest it has been in 20 years.
🌟The changes in my energy levels have been astounding.
When I first rejoined CleanFoodCrush, I would often fall asleep in the afternoon, and my dog-walking pace was slower than my energetic Corgi’s.
🏃♀️Now, I’m walking faster than ever, keeping up with my furry friend with ease.
😀My skin, which used to be itchy, has cleared up, and most importantly, I’ve reversed my cholesterol and diabetes.
What I Love About CleanFoodCrush? What is there not to love?
One of the best aspects of CleanFoodCrush and the 30-Day Clean Eating Challenge is the simplicity—no need to count calories or points.
🎉 The support from the admin team has been invaluable, especially when I needed to modify ingredients to suit my health needs. Their suggestions for clean products made sticking to the plan much easier.
Staying healthy has become my biggest motivation.
Experiencing a glucose spike of over 200 was terrifying, and I never want to feel that way again.

If I could go back in time, I’d tell my younger self about the power of clean eating, especially when raising my children.
I used to think that baking cookies and treats was a sign of being a good mom, but now I realize that instilling healthy habits would have been far more beneficial for all of us.
To anyone starting their clean eating journey, I encourage you to take that leap of faith. I’ve tried many diets—Jenny Craig left me tired and hungry, Weight Watchers involved too much counting, and Low Carb didn’t result in significant weight loss.
Joining as an annual Challenge membership might seem like a big investment, but it’s worth every penny.
A dietitian costs more for just two sessions, and with CFC, you gain knowledge, energy, and, most importantly, a supportive community.
