Clean Food Love

Meet Tracy, Who Lost 7 Pounds and 6 Inches During the CleanFoodCrush 30 Day Challenge!

Hi! I’m Tracy. I’m 43 and live in Ontario, Canada with my husband. We are “parronts” (parrot parents) to two lovebirds. I love reading, traveling, indoor skydiving, and 80’s hair metal.

My dad died unexpectedly about a year and a half ago after a very short battle with cancer. Since then, I’ve alternated between thinking “life is short, eat what you want” and “if you eat better, you’ll live longer”.

I was using food as comfort and gaining a bit of weight, and then COVID hit and my eating habits got worse. I was eating more sugar and junk food than ever before.

I saw Clean Food Crush mentioned in a yoga Facebook group and decided to check it out. Several years ago I completed a similar challenge through a gym, so I know the concepts but just couldn’t get myself on track.

The Clean Food Crush 30 Day Challenge was the kickstart I needed.

My goal was to fit into my jeans again, and although I have a bit more to go, I can get them done up now!

I lost 7lbs and a Total of 6” in the 30 Days.

🙌 My daily headaches are gone

🙌 I have more energy

🙌I no longer crave an evening snack.

Menu planning for the first couple of weeks was tough, so when I found a recipe I liked, I repeated it often. Two of my favorites are the Chicken Satay Stir-Fry Skillet and the Chinese Chicken Salad (from week 2).

One thing that helped me get through the challenge was printing out my meal plan for the week and crossing off each meal and snack as I went. It gave me such a sense of accomplishment, and it was helpful to remind myself of each small victory when I was struggling!

In the end, 30 days go by pretty quickly and the resulting lifestyle changes are worth it.
