3. Be prepared

Being prepared is half the battle. Use these tips to make meal prep easier and be sure you know what you’ll be eating ahead of time and have your food prepped. Keeping water on hand to help keep cravings at bay and give your body the hydration it needs will help boost your metabolism. Weight loss happens faster when your body feels safe – and this means eating smaller meals more frequently throughout the day. Being prepared isn’t just about meal planning, or knowing what to eat it’s also about mindset. It can help to write down your goals, share them with supportive people and create accountability so you feel mentally prepared as well. 4. Work up a Sweat!

6. Go Easy on the Starches & Empty Carbs

Spiking your blood sugar in the morning with empty carbs can ruin your whole day by disrupting your mood, crashing your energy and reducing the will-power needed to make healthy food choices. Fill your diet with lean meats, healthy fats and lots of high fiber veggies like broccoli, kale, cauliflower and lettuce.

Clean Eating is about maxing out your nutrient potential at each meal. For example, you can eat a bag of chips get virtually no nutrients at all, winding up hungry in another 20 minutes. Or, you can eat a chicken breast and give your body the fuel it needs to shed fat and build muscle. What you eat makes a big difference! When you’re eating clean, you have to worry less about calories because the focus is on quality. Your body will naturally tell you when its full when you’re eating real, whole foods. Skip the empty carbs and starches like potatoes, white breads, bagels, cakes, and cereals. Especially in the morning, go for a Clean Eating approved breakfast.  It should be rich in protein and fat or complex carbs like overnight oats and nut butter.

7. Create accountability support
