My name is Stephanie and this is my review of the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge.
Eating out, drinking, junk food were my ways to “escape” the stress. I felt the weight piling on and was in a vicious never ending cycle.
I am 47 years old and I’ve been married for almost 25 years and have 2 amazing sons, 23 and 21 years old. I enjoy traveling, reading, playing games, cooking and walking my dog, Molly.
Before starting the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge with CleanFoodCrush I had left my job of 10 years. Management changes, workload and stress left me with no energy after a workday.
It was time to make a change. I prepped myself (mindset) to begin the challenge as my new year’s resolution to put ME first.

I had followed Rachel on Facebook and even made several recipes that my husband and I enjoyed. With my husband’s support (“I’ll eat what you cook/make”) it was the green light to begin this lifestyle change… not another fad diet.
At the beginning of the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge I took a photo (measuring didn’t work for me) to be able to visualize the changes in my body.
Each week I took a new photo and did a side by side comparison to see the changes. I used to obsess over the scale, this challenge taught me to embrace it not obsess over it.
Going from weighing in daily (and browbeating myself) to weighing in weekly is a huge positive! Over the 30 days I lost 11.8 pounds.
Here is a photo of me BEFORE & AFTER the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge!
Following the plan taught me that REAL food is delicious, fulfilling and satisfying! It’s amazing how my taste for food has changed and I enjoy the flavors of real food. Spaghetti squash and sweet potatoes are two foods I now love! I crave healthy food not junk!
Within the first week the intense and constant bloating I had been living with for so long had subsided. Each week I could see and feel a difference in my stomach.
I now have more energy and less body aches! I’ve even been motivated for inside home projects such as painting interior rooms! My daily approach to life is looking for the positive in things, not the negative.
We are recently empty-nesters, so just making food for 2 and not 4 is still a challenge (I always have too much!) As the challenge went on my husband embraced how he was feeling too and even helps with meal planning, prepping and cooking.
My words of wisdom for newcomers who are interested in taking the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge: Believe in the plan, follow the plan!
Substitutions are possible, just ASK. The Facebook support group is awesome and is a key to my success. Rachel, Daisy & Billie are always so helpful. I enjoy reading the motivational and inspirational posts. Support for times you feel you are struggling are amazing! The love and support from people you’ve never met but share the same goals (to be the best, healthiest you can be!) is exceptional!
