BBQ Chicken Burgers
With the days getting longer, sunnier, and brighter, burgers are coming back into the regular weekend rotation and very very appreciated by my crew of teens & young adults! Spring & Summer are right around the corner and I’m SO EXCITED to get grilling outside more often!
BBQ Chicken Burgers are juicy and ultra flavorful, especially with this homemade BBQ sauce! Do yourself a huge favor and definitely make this BBQ sauce to go with your burgers!
Don’t get me wrong here – I love my carbs and enjoy a healthy amount of them. But full transparency- I usually enjoy my burgers best wrapped in crisp lettuce with all the trimmings! Sometimes a big ole’ bun is just too much and (especially) when your burger is juicy and ultra flavorful, just let it be the star of this show (my stomach usually feels better later on as well!).
I *will* suggest saving your carbohydrate for a big serving of our Baked Beans or Sweet Potato Fries alongside this burger! Now we’re talking!!!
And for those who need to keep their carbohydrates lower, serve these burgers with a side of our Coleslaw!

Meanwhile, preheat your BBQ grill or indoor grill pan to medium-high. Carefully brush the grill or grill pan with avocado oil.
Grill your burgers for about 5 minutes on each side or until they are nicely browned and no longer pink in the center.
Place each patty (burger) on a piece of lettuce with sliced tomato, pickles, and onion, top with a Tablespoon of your BBQ sauce, and another lettuce leaf or two.
Wrap up the lettuce around the burger and serve with French fries or potato wedges.
Enjoy!
