CleanFoodCrush’s Best Condiments

I get asked for a good homemade recipe for different condiments all the time!

Because why pay for store-bought sauces and condiments that are likely filled with added preservatives when you could be making your own? Homemade is tastier and healthier almost every time.

Below are 15 of our FAVORITE recipes for homemade sauces and condiments.

1. Homemade Worcestershire Sauce

A good homemade Worcestershire Sauce that isn’t loaded with cane sugar or preservatives is a very popular request here. So, I FINALLY created this recipe that balances flavors perfectly while using only the highest quality real food ingredients.

2. Homemade Tomato Ketchup

Do we have any ketchup lovers out there? This homemade version is my favorite I’ve ever tasted. It’s not quite as sweet as the traditional store-bought brand and is filled with only the best ingredients.

3. Creamy Yogurt Dill Sauce

The tuna fritters included in this recipe are amazing, but I want to focus on the sauce.

It’s perfect for dipping foods like these fritters; the sweetness compliments the savory really well!

4. Delicious Creamy Homemade Mayonnaise

You’ll never go back to the store-bought stuff…and when you do, you’ll be instantly reminded that homemade is just superior. Making your own might be intimidating, but I promise it’s simpler than it looks! And it’s completely worth it.

5. Rachel’s Healthier Caramel Sauce

Dates are one of my favorite natural sweeteners, and their similar flavor profile to caramel makes them perfect for a homemade caramel sauce. Blend with a few other simple ingredients to intensify the flavors and create a creamy, drippy, absolutely perfect caramel sauce.

6. Easy Homemade BBQ Sauce

If you’re planning any barbecues this summer, you’ll definitely want to save this recipe! There are no fancy ingredients, and the sauce comes together quickly, so there’s really no reason to try it as soon as possible.

7. Healthy Chia Seed Strawberry Jam

Eat Clean Chia Seed Strawberry Jam

With just three ingredients, this recipe couldn’t be simpler. Make this fresh jam all summer long, and don’t forget to let the kids help out! They’ll have fun learning how to cook, and you’ll be confident in knowing exactly what is in the food they’re eating.

8. Rachel’s Sweet Chili Sauce

Sweet chili sauce is a versatile condiment that can be used for so many things that I like to have a jar in the fridge at all times. Our homemade version will be a little bit spicier than the store-bought stuff, but feel free to alter the recipe to fit your preferred flavor profile.

9. Creamy Avocado Dressing

This bright, tangy, a tad bit garlicky creamy avocado dressing is sugar-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free. It’s wonderful for tacos, salads, or even on top of salmon, shrimp, or chicken.

10. QUICK Homemade Marinara Sauce

Fresh, deep, complex, and completely divine, this homemade marinara sauce is a must-try! It’s a staple in my house, and we use it for so many foods, such as pizza, chicken parm, and meatballs.

11. Delicious Fresh Homemade Pesto

I suggest doubling this recipe, especially if you’re a pesto fan because it’ll disappear quickly! It’s absolutely delicious and brightens up any meal, breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snacks.

12. Flavorful Homemade Tzatziki Sauce

Tzatziki will add so much tangy flavor to just about everything. It’s fresh, hydrating, and a fantastic combination of flavors.

13. Healthier Ranch Dip

Who doesn’t love a good ranch dip? This is one of my favorite versions, and I hope you love it too! Make it fro your sandwiches, fries, pizzas, or really anything that pairs well with ranch.

14. Strawberry Coconut Butter

Store-bought coconut butter can be pricey, so I always make mine at home. That way, I have full control over how sweet it is. This strawberry coconut butter is rich, creamy, and fruity and comes with several health benefits thanks to the fruit!

15. Creamy Cilantro Lime Dressing

This creamy cilantro is vibrant, tangy, garlicky, and full of vitamins and minerals. It can help lower blood pressure and cholesterol, balance blood sugar levels, support heart health, and reduce the risk of several diseases!

If you regularly use any of these condiments or sauces, then you’ll definitely want to try making it at home! And remember to tag me @CleanFoodCrush in your creations 🙂
