Fun Saint Patrick’s Day Recipes

Saint Patrick’s Day is right around the corner and is a great reason to connect with friends and loved ones, have some fun, and make good food.

The holiday originally observes the death of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. It has evolved into a celebration of Irish culture with parades, special foods, music, dancing, drinking, and a whole lot of green!

If you plan to have a party, see friends, or celebrate in any way, you might need some ideas for what to make. Thankfully, we have PLENTY!

Here are 25 of our best green and rainbow foods, plus some Irish favorites to make for your Saint Patty’s Day celebrations:

1. Creative Rainbow Fruit Skewers

These colorful little party foods are perfect for partygoers to pick up and enjoy while mingling. Plus, they’re so easy that your kids can help you prepare them.

2. Rachel’s Favorite Green Pancakes

Get in the holiday spirit by starting your day with a delicious stack of GREEN pancakes! Not only are they seasonally appropriate, but they also sneak several portions of veggies into your daily diet.

3. Healthier Crockpot “Corned Beef” & Cabbage + Veggies

You can’t name a more appropriate meal for Saint Patrick’s Day than corned beef and cabbage! This American tradition is believed to have originated from Irish immigrants who prepared the dish in North America in the late 19th century. I think you’ll enjoy this healthier version just as much while saving yourself a TON of sodium.

4. Chocolate Dipped Kiwi Slices

Turn preparing these into a fun activity for the kids. They’ll have a great time, and you’ll have a delicious sweet treat!
